One Day.

One day.

{via}

One day is a precarious place to perch. One day I will plan my own wedding. One day I will have my own business. One day I will teach my child how to read. One day I will go back to Europe. One day I will run a marathon. One day I will win a tennis game. One day I will cook an entire meal perfectly. One day I will be happy?

The problem with one day is that once you get there, you make a new one day. And the old one doesn't seem so exciting.

Ten months ago, I thought one day I would be 50 lbs lighter. And that one day I would be almost done with school. Well, its one day. But now, my now doesn't seem so exciting. By making one days, we take the fun out of enjoying that day. And now, I have new one days. One day I will be another 50 lbs lighter. One day I will have a masters degree. When will they stop? When will I realize what I've already accomplished?

One day.

What about this day? What about today?

Forget one days. And live for this day.

  1. I sometimes get lost in 'one days' too. But, I know that 'today' is all we really have. Thanks for the reminder.
