I Christmassified My Place!

I am still unpacking and decorating my place, so I don't have artwork pictures to show you yet, but here are a few vignettes of my home for your enjoyment!

And yesterday, I got a tree! And then decorated it! And here it is!

{since i don't have a dining table yet, i put it in the kitchen.

And I started bikram yoga! Today is my second class and I'll be trying out some new yoga gear I got - reviews will follow. :)

And... I'm getting another kitty today! Her name is Olivia, and no I didn't name her. But when I saw that she was the female equivalent of my precious Oliver, I knew it was meant to be. There's a really cute story here and I will save it for Olivia's introductory post. :)

 I hope you all had amazing Thanksgiving weekends, full of friends, family, shopping and tryptophan naps. :)

Moving Progress!

IT'S CRUNCH TIME!

Moving has begun!

I have had such a blast choosing paint colors, tile, flooring and furniture. I really am lucky to be able to do this much customization without owning my place.

And yesterday, I started moving stuff in!

Today, I will move more boxes, tomorrow I will move the bigger items with the help of Mike and Jon and tomorrow night my couch is delivered! Friday means the arrival of my bedroom furniture and fridge and I will be completely moved out by Sunday. Whew, I'm tired just thinking about all the unpacking.

But the unpacking will be so fun. And so will the decorating! Once I've got the rooms set up, I will take pictures and note my paint colors and the awesome etsy artists you will see on all my walls.

The Horses Are Coming, So You Better Run

I am so in love with this song, you guys! I can' stop listening to it; I think my neighbors are starting to get sick of it. But that's okay, because they won't be my neighbors for long! Construction will finish on my new apartment on Wednesday and I am soooooo excited! Tonight, I will start taking some boxes over and by Friday, I'm hoping to be completely moved in. Then, the fun part begins - unpacking and decorating! :)

My New... Couch!

Just wanted to share a cell phone picture of... MY NEW COUCH! Yes, it is enormous. Yes, it is a 4 piece sectional. Yes, it was a FLOOR MODEL. Yes, I saved over 50% off the original price and it had only been on the floor for ONE day.

Yes, I AM excited. :)

Big News!

Okay, my lovely blog friends, I have some news! I am... engaged? No. I am... pregnant? No. I am... moving? Yes! I am moving!!! Very soon - as in pack your bags, let's go! This will be my very first place of my own and I will be living alone. Well, with Oliver. 

But wait, it gets better... My papa is the owner of this lovely unit and planned on remodeling the unit once it was empty. I am the resident designer here, so... I get to design my own apartment! The kitchen, the bathroom, the flooring, the walls, everything! Here is the kitchen I designed using Ikea's kitchen planner (my fifth).

And.... all of my art will finally have a home! I have photos, acrylic, oil, watercolor, gocco and letterpress prints all ready to adorn my walls! It will be so much fun to figure out how to style everything and I will be sure to keep you guys in the loop!

So... since I will be packing up my life over the next few weeks, insightful and personal posts will probably be light. However, I do have a bunch of giveaway and featured artist posts all queued up for you to enjoy!
